The Project
We were asked by one of the parishioners to come and take a look at the Church Hall. There has been a leak for a while, but never found, causing water damage to the floor underneath.
Our Plan
This falls under our charitable work, so we met with the Parish Priest and a couple of the parishioners to discuss our plan.
We wanted to be as least disruptive as possible, so we started off with the easy fix, and sealed any gaps we could see. The roof seemed in a good state of repair. We cleaned the roof, sealed it and waited for another day of rain.
When we returned, we stripped off the entire ridge cap, sealed all the joints, replaced all the tech screws with new, and are happy to report, this has fixed the long standing leak. We also took photos in order to give the Parish an up to date picture of their roof structure for the future.
Whilst we were there, we also investigated the church roof, after reports of a loose tile.
